Devotional Bodywork

Devotional bodywork is the practice of meeting the body as sacred. Touch is offered with reverence rather than agenda. Not to fix, but to listen, honour and tend.

Touch becomes prayer. The body of a woman is recognised as holy ground, a natural altar, a living landscape of the Goddess. Here, hands honour, hands anoint, hands listen.

This work is held as ceremony. The body craves ritual because it speaks the language it remembers. Ceremony engages the intuitive and instinctive layers of being and offers a clear beginning, a middle and an ending, creating safety, coherence and completion.

These spaces are modern priestess temples. Sanctuaries of attunement and deep listening, where the full-spectrum of the feminine is welcomed. To receive without reciprocating. For many women, this way of being met is unfamiliar and deeply healing.

This work is in devotion to the feminine body’s rhythm. Sessions are long because the feminine blossoms through yin qualities of slowness, warmth, beauty and spaciousness. When met this way, the body softens, reorganises into coherence and remembers itself as sacred.

“To touch is to give life”
- Michelangelo

My heart is so grateful to curate these spaces of devotional bodywork. The future of therapy will involve human touch. We increasingly live in world that is intimacy starved, affection starved, touch starved. Our true Eros has been so distorted. The impact of isolation, individualisation and disconnection is felt everywhere.

Women’s bodies are the altar at which I am called to serve. Offering loving devotional presence to honour the temple of a woman’s body. To restore honour when there has been dishonour. Soothing nervous systems. Finding safety again in their body through receiving loving touch.
